  • Buffet Service: Dinner will be served buffet-style. Due to the nature of the event and catering service, we are unable to accommodate individual dietary restrictions, food allergies, or special meal requests. Guests with specific dietary requirements should plan accordingly.
  • Working Farm: Rogue Rhino Gardens is an active working farm with uneven and unpaved surfaces. For your safety, please do not wear open-toed shoes.
  • Printed Ticket Required: Each attendee must bring their printed Tixtree ticket for admission.
  • All Sales Are Final: Tickets are non-refundable. Proceeds directly support the work and mission of the Rogue Rhino Foundation.

Our featured panel brings together people whose work spans soil biology, regenerative agriculture, permaculture, desert food production, water conservation, and human health.

Together, they’ll explore what becomes possible when we stop treating soil simply as dirt and begin recognizing it as a living resource—the foundation of the food we grow, the water we conserve, and the communities we nourish.

UFC Hall of Famer · Soil-to-Human Health Advocate

Patrick Jay Miletich is a pioneer of modern mixed martial arts and one of the rare champions who became even more dangerous after he left the cage.

Born March 9, 1968, in Davenport, Iowa, and raised in Bettendorf, Pat grew up the youngest of five in a Croatian-American family that knew work, loss, and loyalty. He wrestled. He fought. And when the early UFC was still a frontier, he became the first fighter to wear the UFC Welterweight Championship. He won the UFC 16 welterweight tournament, defended the belt four times, and in 2014 was inducted into the UFC Hall of Fame.

His second championship was built in a gym. Miletich Fighting Systems, founded in Iowa, produced a generation of world titles and became one of the most feared camps in combat sports history. He later brought that same clarity to broadcast booths at Showtime, ESPN, and Legacy Fighting Alliance.

The third fight is the one he is in now. Sick as a child with respiratory trouble in farm country, Pat learned that the body can be rebuilt when the inputs are right. That search led him from the plate to the field. Today he is a soil-to-human health advocate, podcast host, and partner in work that treats living soil as the first medicine—restoring biology in the ground so nutrient-dense food can restore people. He speaks as a warrior, a coach, and a steward: discipline in the gym, sovereignty at the table, and vitality in the dirt.

Patrick King—The Soil King—is a living-soil craftsman, farm consultant, and product builder whose work sits at the intersection of regenerative agriculture, clean cultivation, and food that still has a pulse.

Raised in California’s East Bay, Patrick was growing things when other kids were chasing a ball. That early obsession became a life’s work: designing soils and composts that are biologically alive, rigorously tested, and honest about every input. Through The Soil King and the Big Rootz / Baby Rootz lines, he has spent two decades helping farms and growers hit yields you can measure and flavor you can remember. In 2015, Big Rootz was named Emerald Cup Soil of the Year—recognition that the mix in the bag was already performing in the field.

What sets him apart is not just the recipe. It is the standard. Patrick built a reputation on batch testing, clean compost, worm castings with real biology, and a refusal to separate “specialty” crops from the rest of agriculture. Cannabis, he argues, raised the bar on residue limits and transparency. His mission is to carry that bar across the farm gate: no segregation in agriculture, responsible practices on every acre, and inputs worthy of the people who will eat what comes off the land.

Growers call him because he has been where they are. Communities call him because he talks in results—structure, biology, water, flavor—not slogans. His platforms and garden-center work have made him a connector as much as a formulator: the loudest guy in the building, and usually the one with a plan.

Clint Culberson

Clint Culberson

Founder, Galaxy Gardens · Permaculture & Desert Water Systems

Clint Culberson is the founder of Galaxy Gardens, a San Tan Valley and East Valley company that treats landscaping as hydrology, ecology, and food production—not decoration.

He started Galaxy Gardens in 2019 after leaving corporate life and discovering permaculture through irrigation work. With partner Evan, he built a crew that installs rainwater harvesting, drainage, greywater systems, earthworks, and densely planted food forests for homeowners across the Phoenix area. The work is practical and measured in gallons: cisterns holding thousands of gallons of roof water, basins that stop erosion, mulch and living roots that turn baked dirt into a sponge.

Clint is not a theorist of desert growing. He is the installer. He is the walkthrough voice on finished jobs, the mentor other East Valley growers point to when they want permaculture that survives a Phoenix summer. On his own San Tan Valley ground he is building a multi-acre agroforestry system—hundreds of fruit trees, support species, perennial agriculture as a living laboratory meant to be replicated across the Sonoran Desert.

His pitch is village-sized: save the Colorado River by fixing leaks and matching water to what plants actually need. Grow food in the yard. Build soil so the next storm stays home. At a dinner about soil, health, and sustainability, Clint is the man who can tell you how that looks on a residential lot in 110-degree heat.

Mark Rhine

Farmer · Educator · Founder, Rogue Rhino Foundation

Mark Rhine is a San Tan Valley farmer, educator, and the founder of the Rogue Rhino Foundation. He is the host of this dinner and the reason the plates and the mission are on the same property.

A former broadband contractor, Mark began growing wheatgrass for juicing when his own health demanded better inputs. Demand turned a personal garden into Rhiba Farms, a commercial regenerative operation of just over three acres at 40792 N Rattlesnake Road. Since 2009 he has supplied pesticide-free produce to Valley chefs and grocery accounts, then built Rogue Rhino Gardens as a private membership club so neighbors could buy direct—GardenBoxes, eggs, honey, meats, and the chance to walk the rows and see how the animals and the soil are treated.

The farm is small on paper and large in practice: banana groves for shade and fruit, on-site composting, livestock in the loop, aquaponics experiments, market Saturdays in San Tan Valley and Gilbert. Mark’s rule is old and unfashionable in the best way: feed the soil, not just the plant. Know your farmer. Spend the dollar where it keeps a local farm alive.

The Rogue Rhino Foundation is the public arm of that same instinct. A 501(c)(3) built to move FarmBoxes of regenerative, pesticide-free produce to underserved communities, churches, and food pantries—shortening the distance between harvest and hunger. Tonight’s keynote is not a rented topic. It is the work of the house.
